I drove out to Marin Headlands with a specific location in mind for this week’s shot. I tried some new equipment to trigger my off-camera flash because I’d heard that it would be better. Turns out it wasn’t. It took me 57 shots to accept that it wasn’t working. I got back in my car and started heading home when I saw a turnaround that I hadn’t taken before. I followed it and came upon this spot that was safe from the wind and also quite beautiful. I decided to go back to the equipment and technique I’d been using since week 1 and can only say, “self timer and Nikon Creative Lighting System FTW!”
